What is Baptism?
Your public confession to your experience of coming to faith in Jesus by being submerged in water to identify with the death and resurrection of Jesus.
Romans 6:4
"Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
What does it mean to become a disciple?
We are commanded to make disciples for our Lord Jesus Christ and to edify the Body of Christ, calling people to repentance from sin and faith in Christ.
Matthew 28: 19-20
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'"
